My 1st vent!

Almost 33 weeks and I have never vented on here...then again I stalked for a while before I started posting...Anywayyy....


We got a our crib/changing table and dresser from Babies R Us. The crib/changing table is assembled after a long 5 hours. I went with my mom to get the dresser in the Bohemia store. The Bohemia store didn't have it in stock so they said they would order it for us. Sure, I am in no rush. The order comes in my husband opens it up and notices a huge gash in it. We return it to Bohemia and they order another one. No big deal, things happen. The new one came in on Wednesday and we picked it up Thursday night. DH goes to put it together today and ones of the pieces is snapped in half. I call Bohemia to see if they have it in stock. They say no, but Commack and Massapequea do. Alrighty, we will take the drive to Commack (we live in East Islip). We get to Commack and they don't have it. They apologized, and honestly it wasn't there fault that Bohemia told me they had it. They called Massapequea for me and they didn't have it either. They said in the computer that the Westbury store had it but they would call and double check for me. Sure enough Westbury has it. All is right in the world...well for a short while it was. Now we drive from Commack to Westbury and get the dresser, then we come all the way home to East Islip. MY husband opens the box and sure enough ANOTHER piece is broken. Seriously?!?! What the heck?!?! I love this set but I've had enough. Now we have to put this dresser back in the car for the 3rd time!!!! I call my mom because now I am upset. I'm not a person to make a scene and I've working in retail so I always try to be as pleasant as possible, but this is just crazy. I'm at the point where I want them to pick up this dresser and take my crib and give me my money back...and if I do decide to get another set from there I want them to deliver it and put it together.

Wow, I'm sorry you're having such a bad time getting your furniture! You have every right to be livid! I would want them to reimburse me for all the wasted gas after driving around picking up repeatedly damaged items. You should absolutely complain to customer service and deserve to be compensated for all this trouble. Good luck!

I'm sorry you had this happen to you. I would complain to corporate for sure, especially since you are driving all over for pieces! Does BBB carry this furniture? Ours is from there and we had a damaged piece and they exchanged it within 24 hours. They even checked out the item they had in inventory.

That's crazy! I would be extremely mad too!!! This is beyond being patient...you would hope that a broken piece is not common, but to have ALL of them broken is insane. I would talk to someone in corporate to see what can be done! What do the reviews online say? Do other people complain about damaged products?

Bohemia opens at 10:00 today. My mom and I are going there. I already feel bad for who has to deal with us. I know my mom and I know she is going to go in like guns a blazing. I'm going to write to corporate when I get home from there. I'm at the point where I just want me money back...not in a form of store credit so I can get the furniture elsewhere.

I will let you girls know how it goes.

PS - I did read the reviews online and nothing mentioning broken parts.
I will be adding a review though.
