Mortgage Payment & Banking On-Line
How many of you pay your Mortgage payment electronically on-line or do you hand write a check every month?

Our mortgage is through our bank so I transfer it from one account to another every month.

I pay it online - they take the money directly out of our account each month on the first.

Our mortgage is deducted the same day every month we do not write a check.

I pay all my bills online but my mortgage. Because of the bank I have to deal with, I need a copy of the cancelled check for my records.

We haven't made our first payment yet, but we have it set up to automatically deduct from our account. It's with our regular bank so I felt comfortable doing that.

We direct deposit money into an account that the bank withdraws the money from.
If I don't see it, I can't spend it......
The remainder of my check goes into my spending account.

I pay everything else on-line, but was not sure about my Mortgage.

Our mortgage is paid automatically each month through our online bill pay with our bank. (It helps that we also have our mortgage through our bank)

I just started doing it online and really like it. You can get a great history at your fingertips, re taxes paid out, insurance, etc.

Our mortgage is not with our bank. The bank won't let you pay online unless you open a checking account with them spcifically and get your checks direct deposited.
So we just use checks

Some banks also reduce interest by a quarter point if you set up a checking account with direct withdrawal. I think its worth the extra savings.

i hand write a check. how dumb is this - my mortgage CHARGES $10/month if I want to debit it electronically. I don't get it...if I were a bank I wouldn't charge someone who is essentially guarenteeing an on-time payment each month.

We write a check each month and bring it to the bank to pay with our credit card bills.
