What is your monthly mortgage payment?
I just read the post about SAH parents and DH's making over 100K....but I would like to know what everyone's monthly mortgage payment is? I dont think I could ever afford to SAH right now if we had kids between bills and expenses. But it seems many have figured it out. Am I missing something?

I think you're going to need to adjust your poll.
I would imagine there are a number of folks who have mtg payments greater than 4k.

OMG I think I would die!
Ours is a little under $1500 including taxes and insurance. We live in CO though so I know that makes a difference but still its not that cheap to live here.

We pay $939 a month for mortgage, taxes (in escrow) and insurance.....
it's nice to write one check for all that!

Same state as Shana, we pay around $1675 for all of the above.

I am a SAH mom and it is an adjustment considering that I use to make a little less than equal to what my dh makes now. (Over 100K) Our mortgage payment is/will be around $2300 plus taxes w/star $550 and insurance $250 and PMI $250 for our tiny little house we bought. He recently started making this kind of money so don't wonder what we've been doing with it. LOL Plus, we had debt to take care of...took 3 years! We put 3% down on a $375,000 house.
Being a SAH mom means sacraficing for us but we decided we rather live in a small house and live modestly, drive our little hyundai and whatever than have someone we don't know watch our children. Afterall, your kids only grow up once. I don't regret it although I always wish we had more money which is just human nature.
In the long run, I think I will be where a lot of other people in their lives are. I mean we are young. And at least when I talk about what's mine, I can say nobody gave me a money gift or inheritance or whatever and that's why I am here today. We take care of our own kids, pay off our debt and save penny by penny for everything.
Being able to be a SAH mom is rewarding. And I know a lot of people are usually "jealous" about it. If only they knew how hard it really was and what kind of sacrafice it takes!

we close on monday and our mortgage, taxes and insurance will be about 3400. I am also going to be a SAHM mom for a little while its going to be tough, but we will work it out. We are also going to be renting out our 2nd floor for an apt.

$1365 for everything, plus we have a 2 family house and our rental income is $1300 a month. So in reality our mortgage is costs us $65 bucks a month.

We have a co-op, so the mortgage is $1300 and maint. is $600. It's a lot, but the maint. includes taxes.

$1279 for mortgage & taxes in escrow. Our insurance is seperatebut we still don't have to write a seperate check for it. It comes out of my DH's paycheck each week.

A little less than $1100 right now including taxes and insurance. We are in Ohio though!
About to buy a bigger nicer house that will bump us up to about $2200 a month

Our mortgage is $1300 a month. We are currently paying $1600 a month to reduce the length of our loan.
Taxes and insurance we pay separately from the mortgage, so that is $5500 more a year.
