MMR & flu shot?

Has anyone's child gotten the flu shot and the MMR shot on the same day? If so, were there any reactions?

Re: MMR & flu shot?

My youngest is scheduled to have both on the 26th. I was told there should not be a reaction but we may be pushing the MMR until his 18 month bc he was just reapproved for synagis (for RSV) & is scheduled for that on the 26th too.

Re: MMR & flu shot?

DS just got both yesterday. So far absolutely no reaction.

I did delay the Hep A until 18 months. I think that's the first time in my life that I ever delayed a shot!

Re: MMR & flu shot?

DD1 had a huge reaction to the MMR (super cranky, fever for a few days, rash for a week, etc.) and she gets a cold after her flu shots, so I personally wouldn't do them the same day.

Re: MMR & flu shot?

Yup! I wanted DD to have the flu shot at her 1yr appt (on Sept 13) so they did it with three other shots (one of which was the MMR).. no reaction. We have to go back for the 2nd flu booster and the pneunomoccal (I'm sure I"m destroying the spelling on that one!)
