I was just at the Dr's office on Thurs and totally forgot to ask.

I've been advised not to, so I don't think I will be. (I've been going back & forth with the idea for over a month now trying to figure out what to do).

I'm surprised your OB advised you not to. Most of them seem to be all for it!
I got mine last week - the H1N1 is incorporated within the vaccine... just be sure to get the low mercury version.

It's very important to get the flu shot if you're preganant. If you get the flu it can be deadly to mother/child. My daughter just got hers last week at Good Sam and they gave her pamphlet explaining the pros & cons. The vaccine can also protect the baby for a few months after it is born.

Both seasonal and H1N1 are in the same shot. you can opt for a preservative free version. I got mine at my local pharmacy.

you only need to get 1 shot. the vaccine for both is rolled into 1 shot.
i got mine 2 weeks ago.

nope. There are pros and cons both way but I have never had a flu shot and since i don't know how I'll react am just going to stick on that plan. . . I know for a lot of people, it's the right choice but for me there are so many variations on the flu and the flu shot doesn't work for all of them so I just want to give my body the best chance to do it's own fighting. . weakened immune system or no. .

there is h1n1 vaccine in the flu shot now as far as I have been told at my ob.gyn... I will be getting the flu shot because I always do

i've never gotten the shot before and haven't had the flu for about 6 yrs and before that--probably as a kid.....i am torn if i should get it or not---im due at the end of the month so i don't have much more time to go don't know what to do!

ETA: I have gotten one for the last 3 years because the year I didn't I passed out from the flu and ended up in ICU for 24 hours. I am not taking the chance anymore.

My doctor advised me to get it and I did get it, and now I wish I didnt 
I got the preservative-free one (mercury free) but still wish I didnt get it.

Nope. I already had the pig plague last year... My doctor said I could get it if I wanted, but that she didn't really see the point since it's just really a guess at what the strain is going to be.
