Re: Mini Bathroom Redo m- UPDATE complete

its so much brighter we don't have to turn the lights on now during the daytime. I LOVE our toilet sorry its seems silly to say that but for how cheap it was its like a bazillion times better then our old one. Even the cats now hang out in the bathroom so that says a lot.

We are going to do a mini kitchen makeover in a few more months now. Dh says even though its ugly (our kitchen) if i just do the same thing with a few hundred dollars it will be livable for the next few years. So new vinyl flooring, painting everything and putting a new counter will make it less scary.

Believe me I completley understand what you are saying!! a while back we just removed a gross cabinet in the bathroom and put a cheap cabinet from target in there and that alone made me feel so much less skeeved out !!

I cant wait to see your kitchen update!!

If your counter is in semi okay shape, don't do a whole new one, do that stuff you spray on from Home Depot. I do not remember the correct name but some posters were talking about it on here. Over the past weekend I was at someone's house who did it and I had no clue ! It looked like corian. So cool.

Looks sooooo much nicer !! Great job !! Did you have to prime the panel first? I have panel in the new house I am moving into ,and I would love to paint it , but do it the right way the first time lol

We had to paint it three times even with stuff that said self priming. Now our stuff was super dark and real thick wood. If you have thinner sheets then you probably would get away with a two coat.

Jenn you did a great job. I love how shabby chic it looks. Awesome job!!!

I totally agree with Beth. Def. check out this project at Home Depot. I forget what it's called, but it's like $200 and you will have a new counter for the kitchen. It's really amazing what paint and self stick tiles will do for a space. Can't wait to see what the kitchen will look like.
