MIL question..
I used to call her Mrs..... then we got married and now I use her first name. I grew up using my parents friends first names too, so it is not weird to me, Mrs..... was weider to me. i felt it was so formal

My son calls my in laws Ma and Pa so thats what i call them now lol

I call her Mrs. XYZ. Culturally, I am still expected to call a woman older than myself Mrs XYZ. It's a sign of respect.

As much as I love my MIL, I have only one mom and no one else will ever get that title.
My MIL is referred to by her first name.

MIL question..
I avoided it but kind of got called out on it  .. So now I say nonna when DS is around or I will say her name if it's unavoidable. There really should be a special name designation for MILS lto make situations like this less uncomfy!

I think she would like if I called her mom, but I dont.
Funny thing...I bought her a card last week with DH in the store. I filled it with the first name. I said to DH" thats kinda cold, that its from her son/wife & grandkids and addressed to her name, not mom or grandma, right ?"
So I wrote mom over Cora and cringed the entire time I did it LOL

I call her a five letter word that isn't kind and never to her face... Lol
In general I avoid calling her anything at all.

before kids i avoided calling her anything now that she is a grandmother her name is GAMMY. Yes T, if im talking to her on the phone i call her Gammy hahahhahahhah

MIL question..
I call them by their first names. I just can't call them mom and dad. DH calls my parents "Mr. and Mrs. D" but that's because they told him "it's that or mom and dad". He won't call them mom and dad until I call his parents that to me is NOT AN OPTION!!!

I try to avoid calling her anything but when I do it is by her first name.
I would never call her Mom. I lost my mom so I don't feel comfortable calling someone else Mom. But even if my mom were still here she would be the only person that would ever receive that title from me.

MIL question..
I call both my ILs by their first names. It's what I called them when we were dating, so I just continued to do so after we got married. We've been married almost 5 years and I've just started to feel comfortable with it in the last year or so!

MIL question..
I don't know why, but I'm just super uncomfortable calling her anything. I address my parents friends and my inlaws friends all by first name, DHs aunts and uncles as "aunt" and "uncle", but my calling my MIL anything has always just felt weird. I'm hoping that once DD starts calling her something, I can just steal that!
