looking to switch OB.. please help me
hi ladies... i miss all of you so much.. i am crying right now just posting on here.. hoping it was for other reasons...
anyway,, i go see my doctor monday for the follow up from my MC. i am just not completely satisfied with him, i almost feel like the MC could have been prevented if he took me more seriously.
so with that said.. .i really would LOVE recomondations for EXCELLENT doctors that WILL take you seriously for anything!! like worries, or concerns, just to see him/her for peace of mind..
i live in Nassau, but willing to travel to western suffolk.

I am no help with doctors, as I live in California. I just wanted to give you lots of  , and let you know we all miss you!
I think you are right about switching doctors though, especially if you feel he didn't take you seriously enough. Good luck, I hope the girls on here can give you a reccomendation and you find a doctor you are happy with.

I LOVED my OB group. In fact, I even contemplated flying back to NY to deliver #3!!!

I've seen all of the doctors in the practice and they are PHENOM. They've always answered my questions, returned my phone calls and I never had to worry about anything. They also have great hours. And I've never had to wait to see any of the doctors.

Dr. Dolisi in Garden City was my OB and I highly recommend him. I know a lot of girls on here use this practice too.
I recommend Dr. Hanauer, who is in practice with Dr. Dolisi. I know a lot of people talk about long waits in the office and whatnot, but so far I've never had a problem with waiting more than 30 minutes and have always seen Dr. Hanauer, never the nurse practitioner. They just started using a new automated phone system that makes it harder to get to the reception desk, but after a few minutes you can usually get through. I had a question the other day and they were very prompt with getting back to me. Dr. Hanauer takes her time with you and I've never felt rushed or that any concerns of mine were overlooked.

I absolutely love my OB! He is located in North Babylon [right off the Southern State.] Dr. Kiran Trivedi. He treats you like a person and really listens to any questions and concerns you may have. He is the best Ob/Gyn I have ever had!!

I don't use him because I now live upstate but when I did live in Queens I used Dr. Richard Trongone in Manhasset (I think someone else posted about him as well). I absolutely loved him. He delivered my son and his follow up was great after the two miscarriages I had while in his care. He even came to hospital on his day off to do an emergency d&c for me.

I agree. I really love her. She is the only doctor I've ever felt truly comfortable with. Last week I waited no longer than 15 minutes to see her. I also love that they have techs from Madonna Perinatal in there a few times a week.

i 10000% recommend them as well!! if they still took my insurance  i would still be seeing dr. fried - she is the most AMAZING doctor, without doubt, i have ever know.

Awh sweetie we miss you too and i think of you all the time. I love my doctor but he's a bit far for you but what I really wanted to say is this...
Doctors see sooooo many healthy pregnancies and healthy babies so I feel that it is their nature to believe that everything really is fine when in fact, sometimes it's not. I had a molar pregnancy and my doctor did not take me seriously either and put my health at risk and I switched to Personal Women's Care in Smithtown. I am very happy with my decision to change but even still, when I have my moment's of paranoia, I still feel like the doctor is doing one of these  on the inside. He usually laughs and says "You're fine, your baby's fine, relax". After being through something traumatic like late pregnancy loss you are going to be afraid but if you really love your doctor and he knows your history now he may take things differently next time around. Good luck. We can't wait till you join us again!!!!!

you are so sweet!! thank you for replying! i agree with you and i just feel that some doctors are just not serious enough.. its terrible, and i still am unsure about mine.. i am going to see what happens at my appt and feel him out.. its more like an interview type of thing.. i actually found another forum with women that lost babies in the 2nd trimester or longer.. and the stories are unbelievable and some even compare to mine.. but i got a lot of info and writing it down to ask the doctor.. so it really is a help!

FYI, some of the doctors at this very practice have had problems themselves, so they are very sympathetic to their patient's concerns and are experts on so many levels.
Above all, I feel that regardless of whom you choose, you should feel that you are getting TOP notch service! I don't care what it is. Whether your hoohah has an itch or if it's that you peed more than 10 times in the last hour and need them to console you or talk you through anything, I strongly feel that whatever doctor I choose should be willing to do just that.

I second that! I love Dr. Dolisi. I switched after a very bad experience with my OB. I am not having the easiest pregnancy, and he takes his time with me every visit, and takes every concern seriously.

Gabi took the words right out of my mouth. With Dr. Trivedi you are a patient/friend not an insurance claim. He gives you plenty of time to answer all your questions and the entire staff is wonderful. Love him!

I agree. I really love her. She is the only doctor I've ever felt truly comfortable with. Last week I waited no longer than 15 minutes to see her. I also love that they have techs from Madonna Perinatal in there a few times a week.
I switched to her based on a recommendation from my friend after my previous Ob mixed up my blood tests and sono with another patient. I really love her. Do I have to wait, yeah sometimes but honestly I have never NOT had to wait for any doctor. I will absolutely wait if I love the doctor. In addition, yesterday I had an emergency appt. b/c of a feeling I was having. It was nothing and I was a little embarressed about going when it was nothing. I saw the Nurse practitioner and she did not make me feel at all that I was silly - in fact she kept telling me to stop apologizing and took her time with me. I have seen Dr. hanauer and 2 of her nurse practitioners so far. I really like them all.
