Life during 2WW

I have a wedding to go to on July 11. I am *supposed* to ovulate next month around July 3/4. Give me your honest opinion...would you drink at all or just skip drinking? Here's why I ask: if I don't drink AT ALL, people will notice and ask questions. DH wants to be very quiet about this and only my BFF knows that we are TTC. So answering questions honestly is not an option. Would it be ok if I had one glass of wine? Then it wouldn't make any waves. Or is that really bad?

Re: Life during 2WW

I just posted this on another thread. Don't stop your life because you are TTC. There were plenty of times during my 2WW, where I would have a glass of wine with dinner, or a cocktail if we were out with friends. It will not hurt anything. Even if you are pregnant, that early in pregnancy you are not sharing any blood with the baby.

I would drink. I had a few glasses of wine during the 2WW. I also had sushi the night before I got my first faint BFP. Personally, I wouldn't put my life on hold during the 2WW.

Thanks for the responses ladies! My head tells me that it's ok to have a glass of wine... but the pessimist in me thinks I'll blame myself if things don't turn out the way I want next month. I know I can't think that way though or I'll drive myself crazy...

Re: Life during 2WW

I won't and haven't put my life on hold during the 2WW. Not until I know for sure will I start cutting things out. Right now, I am just adding things in (prenatals, OPK, temp taking etc.) while TTC. I won't stop anything for it.

Good Luck! Have a blast! Chat Icon
