Re: Let's talk diapers....

I registered for huggies, pampers and 7th generation. I figure I'll see what works best for the baby. It seems like everyone has a different brand that works for them. I also plan on trying target brand, both my sil's swear by them and they're pretty cheap.

Re: Let's talk diapers....

We use cloth a lot. We also used the BJs brand or luvs for when we're out or away.

Re: Let's talk diapers....

I have a small package of Huggies Lil snugglers size NB bc they have the umbilical cord cutout.

We were gifted a six month supply of diapers from my MIL, so I was somewhat limited in the options I had for that. For the first "month" supply I ordered Papers Swaddlers in size 1. If we need more newborn we'll just go out and buy them but I figued I would't need NB for a whole month so it might be a waste to order them thru the service.

In the beginning, Pampers.

After the explosive poops end, Target! I LOVE Target diapers! Much cheaper, and they work GREAT!!!!

I'm really torn between cloth and traditional diapers. I would love to try cloth but since they're so expensive I don't want to waste money on them if I'm not really committed.

Re: Let's talk diapers....

I will be using cloth for this baby, but we use (and love) Seventh Generation for DS.

I know I checked your reggieChat Icon Chat Icon

They are all so different from when I had my DS and back then every diaper worked I just got what was on sale and had a coupon for. Huggies, pampers, luvs, store brands. I was just wondering cause at work more parents use pampers and the huggies for pull up time.
Im just getting a head start, lol.

I have these diapers and if you have any questions let me know. I've been cloth diapering for 14 months now.

Re: Let's talk diapers....

I really have no clue. I think I'll probably just stick with Pampers in the beginning but will eventually venture in cloth diapers.

Re: Let's talk diapers....

In the beginning I will prob use the Pampers sensitive with the pee detection strip. Once I had moved DD out of those, she got major diaper rash and I have been using Seventh Generation on her since then. I'll do the same with DS.

I didn't start using the moe expensive ones until DD was 10lbs. I loved green mountain newborn prefolds and thirsties covers in the beginning. They were the only thing that contained the explosive poops lol.

Kirkland brand from Costco. My sister used them for both her kids and they're just as good as name brands. I plan on getting the wipes there too.

Pampers worked really well for DS, we still use them and Huggies overnights for night time.

Re: Let's talk diapers....

In the beginning I only used pampers sensitive. Now I buy Luvs or pampers and huggies overnites. I've tried them all and I find that pampers really are the best diaper, I never had a leak ever.

Re: Let's talk diapers....

i wouldn't buy too many diapers. Some do better in pampers, some do better in huggies. You won't know until they get here. Chat Icon

My son only did well in pampers.

So if you get a bunch of diapers, only start out using the small bags of diapers first to see what he/she does better with. Then you can exchange the others for what they do well in. Chat Icon

Re: Let's talk diapers....

With DS, I used Pampers Swaddlers in the beginning (that's what the hospital used). I later switched to Pampers Baby Dry (they don't have Dry Max in them). I've tried Huggies but didn't like them.

Re: Let's talk diapers....

Well my youngest will be 4 in December but when she was in diapers I used Pampers. They were awesome. BJs and Costco brand wipes worked great.

We use LUVS for DC... they hold a LOT and don't leak... We've been through the different brands, including Target, COSTCO and BJs...

Re: Let's talk diapers....

I used Pampers in the very beginning but found that I preferred Luvs or Huggies, they're more absorbent IMO and usually cheaper.
