Lazy Eye at 10 months?

was just looking at the pictures from the LIF GTG and love the picture of DS but the more I looked at it, the more I realized that I think his eye is turning in. Now I have started going through pictures I have taken and collectively 75% I would say show his left eye turning in. Is this something that can be corrected this young? I had/have ambliopia and had to wear glasses at 3 y/o (might have been younger). Not all pictures sow it though....what do you think?

Do i need to make a special appt with ped (dont have a well visit for 2 months) or can I just see an eye doctor on my own?

It's hard to tell from pics, I think. But my sister also had/has amblyopia and brought her DD to the pediatric opthalmologist sometime between 6 and 9 mos, because it does tend to run in families. I don't think it's too early. GL!

from the pics, to me (and im not a doctor), it looks like pseudostrabismus. which is just an illusion. do u have any pictures from in front of his face instead of him turning his head?

i took DS to the doctor because i thought he had strabismus, but turns out he has pseudostrabismus. but because i went i found out he has a weakness in the eyes. so it doesnt hurt to go to the doctor. good luck!

DS is going to see Dr Doyle in RVC next week. I have noticed thay his right eye turns in a lot. It runs in my family big time. We talked to his dr at his 8 month visit and he said to see the eye dr...

Hard to say if its just the picture or if its his eyes.
My ped noticed it w/ DS at 1 month sent him to a pediatric opthalmologist. I never noticed it but she said it was worth getting him looked at. He saw him again @ 6mths and said the lazy eye corrected itself but his eyes are still weak and might need glasses. He will check again at 18 mths.

Anyway moral of story its worth getting check out.

No harm in getting it checked out with an opthamologist. DS recently had an apptmt (he had been there before bc of a birthmark on his eyelid) and I mentioned to doctor that some poeple had mentioned that they thought one of DS' eyes was turning (i had never seen anything). Dr said that it was an optical illusion due to the bridge of his nose being (wider or flatter, can't remember). Anyway, it was nothing. You can't lose by going - either you get peace of mind or you find out something is going on and are able to treat early and before it becomes a more significant problem.
