Ladies with high-set e-rings
Did you ever accidentally whale your ring really hard into something and then panic that you scratched something? I did this yesterday and I'm always so careful....it was fine, though. I'd rather hit the diamond than the setting; I have plat and the diamond is tougher, but of course I hit the setting (solitaire). I am ANAL with an "A" with my rings....

The dishwasher always gets me.
I take mine in every couple months for a cleaning and inspection. That way I know if I damaged it or not.
I love the setting (cathedral) because it's really really sturdy. But I do smack it into things a lot.

I am constantly banging it at work & home! The best is the oven!!! When I do it, I immediately look at my ring to make sure nothing happened!!!

I always smack my ring into things. Especially now because I couldn't wear it while I was prego, so I just wore a plain band, so I forget how high it's set.

I don't feel so alone now! 
It's about time for me to take it in to be cleaned/polished/checked. Haven't done it since just before the wedding. I clean it at home, but that's it.

all the time, I am actually convinced that my diamond chipped in one place (cant really see it) or I am just going nuts

I also have a cathedral setting on my e-ring, and am constantly bashing it against the door frames, or my car window.

I bang it all the time. After getting married, I don't wear it all the time now...only on special occassions. I mainly just wear my band and even that I forget to put on because I take it off when I garden or clean because it has a channel setting of diamonds. I'm really not a ring person and never was.

I have a princess cut e-ring which is set really high. I ALWAYS bang it into things, which is why when I get home from work, it comes off. I had to have it reset once already because the center stone became loose and I was afraid I was going to lose it.

Ugh, I do it all the time and I hate it!! After I hit it against something I examine it and check to see if whether or not my prongs have moved.

even though I have a high e-ring setting, I hit my rings no matter what. I currently wear my w-ring and e-ring separately and I still hit the w-ring occasionally. another great reason for me to get platinum. I am such a klutz! 
ETA: I am anal with them also. which is why I take them off as soon as I get home.
