Kris's IVF Journal ***6-8 update***

I thought this time i would start one in hopes of a better cycle than last time. Also to help out anyone else going thru it. I didn't take bcp. Last cycle, i got a clot in my leg from it.

(Additional info as requested) I am 39 and DH is 30. we are patients of Dr. Kenigsberg of Li IVF. This is our 2nd IVF cycle as we had lots of problems with the first one. Problems included unable to find ovaries, follicles and only one egg retrieved by covering re. We stimmed slowly. BCP gave me a small clot in my leg and ganerilex gave me hot flashes. Our DX is DH has severe variocele. I have Anti-Lupus coagulant (blood clotting disorder) and prolactinoma with unknown cause (MRI was clean), taking 5mg bromocritine. Found high hystercine levels - taking Foolgard to reduce those.

5-27 AF arrives early.. woo hoo
5-28 CD2 - blood and sono - found both ovaries (what a relief after last cycle) and lining is 5.3mm - Started lupron and stims.
6-2 Blood and sono - will get results this afternoon when i call voicemail. There were follies on both sides with the largest being 12mm. However the left ovary was difficult to find.
6-4 Blood and sono. Largest follie was 16mm abnd they are still having problems finding the left ovary. I got told this time my re will be doing the ER.. woo hoo. i'm just hoping that its the machine that makes it difficult to find the ovary. Possible ER on Mond to wed.
6-5 Triggering tonight at midnight.I have follies over 20mm. I cant believe how well i stimmed this time.Found out my left ovary is near my back and it is going to be difficult to retrieve from. Fingers crossed. Back-up plan of an iui at the same time is scheduled.
6-7 DH & My Anniversary - ER 10:30 am - 5 eggies from both ovaries were retrieved. An iui was done in addition to the retrieval. All eggies will be ICSI but i have to wait for fertility report. I did well and very proud of my re.
6-8 Only one egg fertilized

Thanks for posting a journal, i have always found them to be so helpful. I will be following you along, rooting for you every step of the way!! Tons of luck to you!!!

P.S. Maybe adding some background- ages, how long you have been trying, diagnosis, etc. would be helpful too, if you don't mind sharing

Awesome news! I ALWAYS have similiar problems with my right ovary. They always have to push around to look for it.
