Kitchen wish lists?
What were /are your wants and would likes when redoing a kitchen? We are planning a kitchen remodel. An island was a would like but it isn't working out. Would like other ideas.

stainless steel appliances
double oven
solid wood cabinets
quartz counters
under mount sink
garbage disposal
pot filler
nice windows
eat in kitchen area
walk in pantry
enough cabinets to store everything
french door fridge
stunning drawer pulls (like jewelry for the room)
great lighting so it is well lit
desk area for mail/bills
My current home has all of those things except the pot filler, and the desk area. We are redoing the counters and the drawer pulls within the next month or two.
ETA: I would love a shelf that pulls out and folds down for my kitchen aid mixer.

Built in shelf for a microwave
A cabinet with multiple flat shelves for things like cookies sheets, platters etc (stuff that's not easily stacked)
Pull out drawers to organize lids
A thin cabinet that pulls out to keep spices
Undermount sink - double size
A big pantry
DISWASHER

We are doing SS appliances, a single unit double oven, granite counters, large built in pantry. Plenty of prepspace / storage with undermount sink. Recessed lighting. opening the doorway and extending the wood floors. I don't have storage for cookie sheets, which I think would be nice.
Honestly, anything would be an improvement to what we have!! I'll have DH scan the plans and post them soon. Hopefully, you ladies could help me critique them.

The way I envision it is a door that looks like a regular cabinet for a lower level cabinet, and inside is a shelf that is on a hinge that can be raised and lowered. The mixer would then become counter height when you raised it up. You would need to have an accessible outlet near by. I think there could be a pull out drawer under it to store other attachments. At least that is my dream.
ETA: picture This is it! I don't know if you can tell by the picture by the outlet is hidden under the counter so it is plugged in.

- marble-like light granite counters
- breakfast bar
- big undermount sink
- doorway leading to backyard
- open concept living
- plenty of cabinets to store everything
- lotsa cabinet drawers, not pullout shelves
- plenty of light

I am in the process of redoing a whole house. I picked the following for the kitchen:
-two wine/beverage fridges
-Wolf stove and double ovens
-Subzero fridge
-French doors in kitchen
-7 ft+ island
-full dishwasher and dishwasher drawer
-microwave drawer

It's amazing! The guy who did our kitchen looked at me like I was crazy when he was installing that cabinet and he literally asked me, "Do you really need this?". And I do!!!!! I use it almost every day.

OMG that mixer cabinet is amazing!!!! I just lugged mine out and almost pulled my back!!
Even though we moved in with a brand new kitchen I would love an Island in the middle of it.

I really want a pot filler, gas range, and an apron sink...I also want custom cabinets with lots of organizers so that we really use all of our space (which is limited) effectively.
