seller's agent faxed contracts to our lawyer this am (or so she said she was going to yesterday afternoon)
we are waiting to hear  
the hurdle is going to get setting a closing date  she has kids in school so we are nervous about when she is going to want to close. we are pretty flexible BUT we don't want to lock in a rate and have it expire.
we shall seeeee

Sidenote - what are you doing with the townhouse? I feel like you JUST put the shutters in....

Seriously I would rather plan 10 weddings...your process is giving me anxiety...I can't even imagine how much of a headcase I'm going to be when we actually make an offer.

The whole process seems to take a while.
We have had contracts and addendums rather quickly and signed them quickly. However, getting the signature on the sellers end ..well that's a different story..I can empathize with you!! Trying to be patient

so I just called the lawyer and the para told me "i think we got it (contract) in yesterday... let me check" and then the receptionist picked up and told me they would call me back

I was just talking to me RE and he told me that this is what happens sometimes with attys. Sometimes they do have the paperwork and they say they don't because they haven't gotten to it yet, or they have the paperwork but don't tell you immediately because they aren't yet ready to address it. For us, its personal. For them, its business. Not saying that is def the case with yours, but I know it can be with mine...sometimes its so hard to relax with this stuff but i am learning to let go of what I cannot control, because whether I am anxious or calm the outcome wills till be the same
