we signed now back over to the sellers!
tenative closing would be around 5/27 (but they have 30 days from that date)
since im sure the seller wants her kids to finish school, im sure it will be mid-late June
i just hope they dont mess around with signing. our lawyer said it should take no more than 1 week. we shall see 
thanks everyone, we are thrilled!
ill add a pic of the house later

I know its frustrating but do you really want to do this all over again?? Especially if you really love the house.

done like you are not totally not gonna get the house now? since your mom is buying your condo can't you wait the extra 2 months? or convince them for july atleast? you love this house, i hate to see you give up now

ITA. I feel your frustration because we went through the same thing, but in the end if you love this house if you can wait then it will be worth it.

unfortunately, its not only our decision. if effects my mom and the person renting her apartment. domino effect.
im so lost and so emotionally exhausted from this entire process. if it doesnt work out, im done looking for a while.
it has been one concession after the next with these people.

I am hoping it all works out for you, I will keep picturing you waving to use in our yard from you balcony, haha! then maybe it will happen!

UGH! This seller is pizzing me off
Can ur Mom give up her place and live with you for the summer (until 8/31)? I know its a lot to ask from both of you but, if you really love the house..........................................

WOW- that's a little crazy. That screws with your interest rate and stuff too. It seems a little unreasonable to me. If you walk from the contract- what does that do to you guys in terms of deposit?
Honestly Karin, some new houses are coming onto the market now that would be perfect for you guys...maybe you shouldn't lose hope just yet if this falls through

that os the other HUGE issue - if we lock in our interest rate, who pays the penalty once it expires?
we are trying to work it out. we will see. you're right jess, inventory is picking up so if it doesnt work out we will keep looking. we are countering with 6/15 which gives them until 7/15
eta - check is not deposited into escrow until they sign, they wont sign till they agree to the closing date. we can pull out at any point until they sign and deposit the check

Karin, did the seller suddenly change her mind re: closing dates? I would've thought your desired closing date would have been presented with your offer, and there would have been agreement on the general time frame for closing before the offer was accepted. I always make sure to hammer this out at the outset, so I am just wondering if the seller in your case did a 180 on you.
Sorry you are dealing with this, but maybe it can be negotiated (everything's negotiable!) so don't give up hope yet.
