just wondering
what hosptial would all you future moms like to deliever at and why?
I'm new to suffolk county so I'm trying to get opinions...but of course this questions is open to everyone

I chose my OB GYN based partly on whether or not he delivered at Huntington Hospital. Its a community hospital. Both of my nephews were born there and I just found it to be a very warm and inviting hospital. The staff and nurses were super nice. I've heard some horror stories about other more popular hospitals.

I delivered my first at Stony Brook and it was amazing they have private rooms and they have been great to us through my 31w pneumonia to our 3 week old PICU stay for DS heart.

VBAC is when you deliver vaginal after a csection

South Nassau probably... i know someone that works in the NICU my niece was in there for a week so i feel confident having my kids there.

I'll deliver at Southampton. 1)The maternity ward is amazing, brand new, all private rooms and even a water birthing room. 2) It's really the only nearby hospital.

Stonybrook. I was disappointed when I found out that was the only choice at my practice but I've heard only great feedback on this site so I'm feeling better!

DH works at Winthrop and our friends who are doctors and nurses there all delivered there and gave it big thumbs up. So I'll be going there. Plus, I'm hoping that since DH works there he'll get to stay later hours and stuff like that.

My ob/gyn was first affiliated w/ Good Sam & Southside & I really wanted Good Sam. Then I found out my ob no long delivered at GS; only SS & I was upset. BUT it was a GREAT experience. They have 10 private rooms; the nurses are great; you can have your baby in your room all night (if you want). The nurses were very supportive & helpful & answered any q's you had (bf, etc.)

Delivered at St Charles with DS and had a wonderful experience there. The L&D and maternity nurses were amazing. I will go back there for subsequent deliveries.

I delivered my DD at St. Charles in Port Jefferson and I can't say enough good things about it. It's a smaller hospital which I loved because it was nice and quiet. No ER, no millions of people around. It's basically the maternity ward and the cardiac rehab center. Everyone was soooo nice, the rooms were big, bright, and clean, and the food was AWESOME! Loved everything about it. I plan on delivering all my future children there as well.

I want to deliver at stony brook or st charles. my dr delivers at stony brook so that's probably where I will deliver

#1 was Stony Brook
#2 was St. Charles
#3 was Stony Brook
St. CHarles was my favorite but Stony Brook has the technology in case anything happens . I did like SB but SC was my fave

I'll be at Winthrop which is where by dr is affiliated. My sister-in-law and best friend bother delivered there and had wonderful experiences.
