just curious re: heartbeats

According to books/magazines a heart beat over 140 is usually a girl.
Mine is between 161-166 everytime...I dont know the sex. Just curious if it turned out right for your child?
I am thinking I am having a girl but who knows!

Re: just curious re: heartbeats

it wasn't true for me.

My Chat Icon's heartbeat was always on the high end of the range.. it still is. It started out in the 180s, then leveled off in the 160-170s for awhile. Now its usually around 150bpm..

Even the nurses thoght I was having a girl based on that. But no doubt he is a boy!

Re: just curious re: heartbeats

I was told anything 150 and higher is a girl anything lower is a boy but its an old wives tale. at first my babys hb was 160 then at amnio was 150 for level 2 it was 148. We are not finding out the sex but curious to posters that did find out the sex how this tale holds up!
