If you read the fine print there's a way to opt out of the list to stop getting them.
I throw most of them out but, occasionally I will apply for a 0% offer if I receive one.

What makes me worry is i get sooo many.. what if someone with bad intentions get them. I would like them to stop coming too.

Shred them and then send them back to the company in their envelope. It's free. Make them pay for the postage.
