Judgements on You
What are some things you feel people see from your outward circumstances/appearances that you feel (or worry) that they judge you wrongly for? and not that any of the situations are bad or wrong, but you just worry out of being self-conscious?
Here are some examples:
If you work nights and people see you out and about during the day, do you worry that they think you're unemployed?
or
If you get along with your boss, do you worry everyone else thinks you're a suck-up?

I really try not to think about what other people think of me.. it's just not worth it
all i care about is how i feel about myself, and how DH feels about me.

I really don't care what others think about me. If I did, my whole life would be wasted on worry.
It's true about the friendship with the boss = sexy times outside of the office. I have a co-worker who is just waaaaay to friendly & flirty with the boss, and the boss is the same way. He brings only her tea every morning, goes out to dinners
..... It does make you wonder.

The biggest one for me was dating (openly) after my separation, before my divorce was final. I KNOW I was being judged. It was rough and caused me to kinda hide out for a while out of fear of seeing someone I knew. I would go to my BF's place or neighborhood when we wanted to go out and do something b/c there are WAY too many people where I live that know me and who I was married to.

I have been a SAHM since DS was born 6 months ago and I feel that other people/friends judge me for staying home and not going back to work.

I teach dance for a living in a very affluent community and some of the moms come off or talk to me in a way that they obvioulsy think they're better then me for some reason. I know I really shouldn't care, but I do take it personal and find it offensive. Like what the heck makes them think that?! Because they have more money then me?! And how do they even know they have more money then me?!

ITA....DH & I lead a very different lifestyle....no 9 to 5 jobs, we don't WANT to own a house, we like to go out---a lot, we don't cook at home(we eat out every meal)...stuff like that. I KNOW people judge me. Too bad

They're definitely jealous. I know I want nothing more than to be able to stay home all day with my future children!
As for the OP...I really don't care what others think of me. I've been judged my whole life by people who thought they were better than me. I can't live my life to please other people...I only get one life, I'm gonna do what makes me happy :)

I struggle with people thinking I'm divorced.
It's an automatic assumption people make when they see me with DS and I have no wedding band on.
I feel defensive about it, like it makes light of my marriage.
I'm sure it's something I'll get over, but it's a gut reaction I have now.

Exactly!! I used to care...a lot! Then I realized that I missing out on things that I shouldn't be and I said F it!! I don't care who doesn't like the way I live my life. I guess people like to see you miserable and feel bad for you than to see you happy and living life to the fullest. It boggles my mind!

Yup, I think I am judged a bit. I'm kind of shy and quiet, and I don't smile a lot (just not in my nature  ) so I think some people automatically assume I'm a stuck up b!tch when I'm really pretty nice.

I know I am judged by some because I have my children in daycare.....
I am judged because I am from NY (I live in NC now), therefore must be pushy, arrogant, impatient, rude, etc.....

I don't really care what people think of me.. but sometimes I find myself caring lately. Especially now being all big and preggo.. if I run out of the house without my rings on I feel like people are staring & judging me.

Oh I'm sure people judge me.
I only care about what the people in my immediate circle think about me though. Moreso because I value their opinions. However, there are some aspects about me that I wont change, and if they don't like it and judge me for it, then that's their problem.
