Is this ok for brunch?

I am helping to plan a shower for a good friend of mine this summer. we are going to have it in a hall and there are going to be 100+ people. The other bridesmaids and I are not made of money. We would rather have most, if not all of the food caterered. We would also love to try to do something you don't see at every party.

A very reputable deli has this "breakfast" for a good price.
Assorted Pastries, Mini Muffins, Mini Bagels, Croissants,Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, French Toast and Home Fries
Coffee, Tea & Orange Juice.
Includes:
Butter, Cream Cheese, Jelly, Milk, Sugar, Sweet & Low, Equal.
Paper Goods: (Plates, Napkins, Stirrers, Cups and Knives).

So my question is:
Is this too breakfast-like to serve around 12 noon?
If so, is there anything we could add to make it a "brunch"?

Re: Is this ok for brunch?

I love breakfast, so I would love that...but you could add something like penne ala vodka, and maybe a ham or something, for those people who are too breakfasty!

I'd just add a cold cut/cheese platter and some tuna/chicken and maybe a pasta salad and fruit platter.

I was going to suggest the same thing! This would defintely help make it more of a brunch and less of a breakfast.

ITA... but I hate breakfast! No, really, I think some salads, cheese and cold cuts added to what you already are getting would be perfect for brunch! its needs a little lunch type something.

I agree - then it would be a great brunch menu!

I agree, what you listed here is breakfast. For brunch, you need some lunch type foods. Salad, penne a la vodka, some type of meat/cold cuts, maybe chicken francaise/parm?

I am sure real lobster salad would be pricey but what about adding some of that cheaper seafood salad they sell in the deli at most supermarkets?

I like the other suggestions as well!

Maybe rice pudding too?

Re: Is this ok for brunch?

I would be upset if I went to a shower at noon and they served only breakfast as I HATE breakfast foods. To me, this menu needs to be served before 11am so people know they're only getting breakfast.

I would add a pasta and chicken dish so people who want lunch can have it. I would also offer soda as I wouldn't drink orange juice with my food

Re: Is this ok for brunch?

That sounds like straight up breakfast, not a brunch. I'd add a pasta dish (like penne vodka) and something else like mini meatballs, crab cakes, etc. and then you'd have brunch.
