Oh this is no Half Shell Mary. This is gorgeous. The landlord even has a spotlight on it. Ask BeautyQ. She is my consultant on all things Catholic!

I could do it now. The light is out of service for the moment while they are doing work on the house.

Since Mary was brought up-has anyone every seen Mary in a bath tub?
I lived in New England for a little while and I often saw a bath tub, buried half way, with Mary inside. So, the bath tub was the shell for the "Mary in the 1/2 shell."

Not a fan of Mary in the grotto BUT this Mary is gorgeous!!! My mom wanted a statue of Mary and I asked Leslie where this one was from..I am totally serious. I have been thinking of getting one myself.

Wait.... the big colored bulbs are not trashy if you refer to your holiday decor as "old school" are they?! We even have some plastic blow molds! Doh! That's right I said blow!  Behind the snowman's head is also a plastic menorah!
I thought they were considered trash from the second week in January through Thanksgiving.

I am white color (as was my father) and I  icicle lights....
I never understood why it's 'trashy'  then again, while I think I have a very stylish modern home, I do have my happy and tacky side 
and lets be brutally honest for a moment.... ALL holiday decorations are super-tacky (except for the genuine religious items that I don't think are mere 'decorations' like menorahs and creches)
Isn't shiny and tacky the point to holiday decorations?!

leslie...you seriously make me die lol
my father was a blue collar with white collar income too..we were the only half jews on the block in a world full of catholics with icicle lights..
i actually always begged my dad to put the big huge colorful bulbs up (now THOSE are white trash!!) but my jewish mother told me they were guyish (sp?)
lmao
the word is "Goyish"
