Is Chipotle safe?
I know there were some scares with the norovirus and the quality of the food at Chipotle...is it safe now?

I'd wait a bit before eating there again

It wasn't just one thing, I feel like there were a few incidents.
I know! I feel the same way and I feel like i've waited forever!!! I am craving it but its probably one of those you want it because you can't have it deals.
Moe's just isn't nearly as good

I wouldn't eat there. Taco Joes is another option. They continued to slip up even after having major issues. Normally I'd say oh, it's safer than ever but I don't think they can even figure out what they're doing wrong.

My friend from college got ecoli from there. Was never reported. They offered her a year of food free. She declined.

ITA! I haven't stopped eating it and it's nice that the lines are a little shorter now.
After reading some articles about it, I do believe there is some sort of corporate sabotage going on (in retaliation for their anti-gmo stance). Especially since the CDC hasn't been able to nail down the source of the contamination after all this time.

Is Chipotle safe?
A co-worker's son and daughter wound up with E.coli a few months before it was reported in the media. The son was hospitalized. I've never eaten there previously and now after all this I have no desire to eat there.

i love chipotle, but i won't eat there any more.
there's one very close to my home and i always see a healthy line of people there... but i'm too chicken to risk it.
besides, i now live in SoCal... i can have authentic mexican food any time i want, which i prefer any way.

No taco/burrito bowl no matter how delicious (and I LOVE chipotle!) is worth the anxiety that it might make me ill. Even if it doesn't and chances are- I know I'd probably be fine- I wouldn't even enjoy eating it at this point.
I'd give it a few more months of NO reports of illness before going back.

Exactly. They're super transparent now what they're doing to avoid this from happening again. I still eat there. You can get sick from any restaurant.

There are other options - Moe's, some privately owned places that have a similar menu/set up.

To me this means they are taking it seriously.
And this is interesting:
"Boston Public Health Commission traced the source of the December norovirus outbreak to a sick employee who worked on the day of the outbreak."
So this particular thing shows that it is not Chipotle in particular, it's just 1 stupid person that could be working anywhere.
