I know it's not very common here but in the Latino culture it's actually pretty common (in my experience at least). Some of my relatives have had more than 1 baby shower. It's not about the gifts, it's about celebrating a new baby. I wouldn't have another one but that's just me.

ETA: all of these "2nd" showers I've been to were always smaller venues than the 1st. Not all out showers.

I like the idea of sprinkles, for kids 3+ years apart....

My cousin lives in TX, and for subsequent children, they have what they call a "Sip and See"....basically, it's an afternoon get-together that celebrates the baby, "Sip" tea/coffee and "See" the baby...
