Thanks everyone!
I called my doc today and was told by the receptionist that if I wanted to, I could go to a lab to have a blood test done. It's my choice. Is that normal? I opted to do that, so they're sending me a prescription for the test. I have an appt in 2 weeks but am now waiting for the doc to call me back after his appts for the day.
This is an incredibly weird time, since I can't really let myself get excited yet I kinda am. And I'm petrified of telling anyone! I was sure I'd want to tell my parents right away, but I kind of don't want to because I don't want them to be disappointed if the baby doesn't stick.

Congratultaions and I hope it sticks. I never heard of the office giving you an option to get the test done at a lab prior to your appointment, but I think I would do the same and go.
