The first year with a child is so hard for a marriage. Every woman I know (working or SAHM) feels like she does so much for her family and doesn't have any time to themselves and each DH feels like he is working hard and needs some down time and time to sleep. Add sleep deprivation and frustration and it just make marriage so tough.
The best thing we all can do is communicate our needs to our DH and try to reach reasonable compromises. I was so upset at DH a few weeks ago- I was just so angry at him about so many things, so I wrote him an e-mail when I was calm and pointed out the areas where I was unhappy and what I thought was a reasonable solution. He agreed (and took on some more household responsibilities) and it has made it a lot easier.
My sister has a 1 year old and she swears that it gets easier after the first year. But we are here for you wheneve you need to talk. FM me anytime!
ETA: We also just found out a friend is getting divorced. Its the couple who introduced us. They have 2 kids 4 and 6. It really put our relationship in perspective. It showed us that our love is stronger than the small things that make us unhappy so we need to show each other rmore love and try to make the other person's life easier.

When you say you are "fed up with the way your life is" what exactly are you fed up with because that's a pretty general statement. I'm sure you are not fed up with Aly or your beautiful house, or your DH.
Can you pinpoint one thing that you are unhappy with? I think that's where you'll find the start of a solution. Then, together start trying to work on one thing at time to make it better.
For example, let's say you are unhappy with your job. Take one step today to work toward making it better. Send out a resume, call a temp agency, etc.
