OMG, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm a huge lurker on TTC so I know what a struggle it has been for you... this makes me so happy!
Now, onto the good stuff I had awful, and I mean AWFUL morning sickness (morning? HA! more like 24 hour feels like the worse hangover on earth for 20 weeks sickness!  ) It makes it truly unbearable. My doctor put me on Zofran - it's a drug they use with chemo patients to deal with the nauseau. I called it my miracle drug. WIthin seconds of it dissovling on my tongue I felt totally normal. There was one night I woke up and as I as unpeeling the wrapper I started gagging and once I popped it in my mouth, POOF, the gagging was gone! Only thing is that it is very expensive. My insurance only covered 20 pills a month so I held onto those puppies like they were diamonds and only used them on the worst of days...
Hang in there and remember, the sicker you are, the healthier the pregnancy!

I am so sorry you are so sick ESPECIALLY since you have been trying to get pregnant for so long. Definately talk to your doctor about anti-nausea meds- twins cause double the hormones so no wonder you are so sick, you poor baby.
I am SO EXCITED FOR YOU THOUGH! I have been following your story on the TTC board the past 8 months so I am so happy for you.
Now if you could just feel better

Congratulations..... I am so happy for you. I had very bad morning sickness with my daughter. Nothing i did really worked it just passed after the first trimester. I did call in sick to work a lot. Maybe your doctor could give you something.
Again, that is great news!!!!!!

have you tried ginger? like real ginger ale from a health food store or ginger snaps?
Zofran is used a lot for severe m/s. i have dispensed it to tons of pregnant women. originally it was for chemo nausea.
ETA: congrats on the good news!!!!
I live on ginger ale and tried ginger snaps, but i couldnt stomach any food

Congrats to you!! I've never been pg, but an old co-worker of mine was soooo sick in the beginning of her pregnancy and all she could eat was bagels. She used to joke that she was going to name her son Bagel.

Oh congrats!!!! I am so excited for you!!! I know each doc is different, but my doc is very conservative and wouldn't prescribe me the Zofran because he was not comfortable with the lack of research done on the effects on an embryo. especially since it is a relatively new med used for pregnant women, it is usually used for chemo patients.I'm sure it;s fine, but he just felt vitamin B supplements were safer. Hang in there!!! This will pass!

I'm sooo happy for you! I feel like I've been following your TTC story. It actually brought a tear to my eye. It's truly an inspiration when a fellow TTCer conceives. Congrats to you and your husband. I'll keep you and your babies in my prayers. Have a happy and healthy 9 months.
