I hadn't posted this before, but the dr was concerned that bc of my bleeding disorder, I would bleed too much. Actually, I was flipping out, she had her course of action planned out for me as I found out on delivery day...
She had planned all along on inducing if he went to big two weeks before, and also that if the bleeding was out of control, she would have to do a hysterectomy right after delivery. I have stressed out over this my entrie pregnancy. As soon as I delivered though, they started me on mess o control the bleeding and you can not imagine how much it has helped compared to Juliette's delivery. Also, I didn't tear at all, no stitches at all! (AND NO EPIDURAL!!!!)
So here it goes...
I went to the doctor on Wednesday the 8th and I was having pretty bad contractions. I was only 1cm. THe doctor asked me if I wanted to go up to the L&D for some drugs to sleep and if so, that may relax me enough to dilate. I decided against it.
They sent me for a sono on Monday the 13th, and the baby was measuring 7lb 8oz. I went to the dr after that and she wanted me back on Thursday bc I was now 2cm. I went home and then to work, and the contractions started to subside.
Tuesday I called in to work bc I was up early again with pretty steady contractions. I sent Juliette to my MIL's and by 7pm, I was about 8 minutes apart and strong. At 8.30, I called the dr, they were 5 minutes apart and starting to actually hurt. She said that bc it was my second child and I was already dialated, I had to head up to Mercy bc the second tends to go faster.
Called DH at work and he rushed home. He was home about 9.30. We got to the hospital at 10.30 and they were now 4 minutes apart. By 11, 3 and a half minutes apart. Then they started slowing down but became really painful. They were now 6 minutes apart.
At 12, they had me start walking. They were getting erratic again but I couldn't walk bc they hurt so much. They gave me Stadol and I slept till 8. So I wake up and I am in so much pain, and the nurse comes in and tell me that I an not contracting and haven't been... W T F? The monitor was not properly attached in my sleep. So I am here dying for no reason. No one had even checked me to see if I had progressed any. At about 9.30, I was finally checked and I was 4cm. They said that I had time, and I sent home DH to feed the dogs. They told me they were going to give me a another round of Stadol and then an epidural. Waiting, waiting waiting... THEY COULD NOT FIND THE KEYS TO THE MEDICINE ROOM! I finally get the "mini" round of stadol at 10.45. I slept till about 12.45 and DH had just gotten back. My Dr checkes me and goes to break my water, and I am 8cm. They call for the epidural and my dr and the anesthesiologist start arguing how they could let me go to 8 before calling him. I am dying here. She tells me that I have no time, and I have to start pushing. Baby was out in exactly 5 minutes. The nurse told my DH that she see's one of these 5 minute pushes approx. every two months. It was amazing how quickly they got him out. I totally love my OB, Dr. Francine Guzman. I would recommend her to anyone.
We are home with Juliette now and all is good. Very happy mommy!

Nice, 5 pushes! Well, with my DD It was 6, you beat me by one.
I also was 10cm and couldnt get the epi.

Thank you!!! He was actually called "Baby No-Name" In the hospital, they laughed everytime I went to the nursery to pic him up. My husband would not let me fill out the paperwork until we were discharged... he's nuts... (But great otherwise )
