DD is 3 1/2 and still naps..99% of the time i make sure she is home by 130 to take it -she sleeps like 2 hours or so..ofcourse there are times when she has to miss it, but she is def a kid that needs a nap so i try not to miss it too much

She has a set, structured nap time Monday through Friday. Always noon to close to two pm.

Then on the weekends she's a 'whenever' girl. Go figure. Its useless for me to try to wait out her nap, she'll delay it by hours. Put her in the car an hour or two early before her nap and she'll drop off into a snoring sleep.

I gave up a long time ago. I just do my thing, if she sleeps, she sleeps. But if she gets sleepy/cranky we have always just tried to get home if possible or just drive around while she slept if we could.

We've been known to do our own thing then purposely be sure she's in the car by 3pm so she CAN fall asleep if she hasn't already

I always make sure he gets one, since he is horrible without it.

99% of the time we are home for DS's nap. He needs it and I need the break to get things done around the house and unwind a little.
He sleep 2-2.5 hours.
