Re: if you could have a wedding again

We had the 100 person casual wedding on the beach like we wanted so I'm VERY happy with how our wedding day turned out.

But I would've upgraded the cocktail hour if I could do it again. Also, we had a bonfire on the beach after the wedding and I wish I had gotten some food for that since people were starting to get hungry again towards the end of it.

I would also get a picture of my whole bridal party together !! Chat Icon I thought of it while we were all in the bridal suite but didn't have a camera, then it slipped my mind with everything going on.

Plus, I wasn't happy with my flowers and i also wish I brought lipstick with me !

Re: if you could have a wedding again

My wedding was definately a dream come true. The only 2 things I would have changed is the dress/color and I would NOT have asked my cousin to be a bridesmaid. Other than that...not a thingChat Icon

Different DJ- or I should have given him more songs.

Not had my wedding on the Sunday before the Republica National Convention.

Other than that, not much! I loved my wedding. It was so special having all my friends and family together.

Re: if you could have a wedding again

I would have gotten more sleep the night before the wedding.

I probably would have used a different photographer. I loved my pics initially but not really crazy about them anymore.

yup!!!!
i would have skipped all the crap and just gotten married at the beach in a carribean island...

just thinking back about my wedding day and the whole process gives me physical painChat Icon

eta
don't get me wrong, i loooved the actual wedding day and love my hubby but not the agitation

i could've written that myself!!!!

if we had to do it all over again, it would just be me, DH, and immediate family on the beach at sunset on a tropical island!

i just feel like the money spent was ridiculous!

Re: if you could have a wedding again

You've got wedding stuff on the brain!

To answer your question, I wouldn't change my wedding (well, the limo company, but that's it) but if I were to have a second without replacing my first, I would definitely love to get married on beach somewhere romantic.

would you do anything different?

different venue, different theme, location, etc.

YES!!!!!!!

i would not change venue, theme, or location. but i would change a few vendors and i would change some of the things i skimped on.

in changing vendors, i would change my attitude (they gave me headaches at the last minute), and hence i would enjoy my wedding more

Re: if you could have a wedding again

-Different photographer
-Spend less on flowers
- Professional makeup (my cousin did it- it was fine, but I think it would've lasted longer had it been professionally done.)

Actually, I would never do it again. I'm still surprised I had the "big" wedding in the first place. I always talked about doing it in the carribbean or some other cool place- just family and close friends.

Re: if you could have a wedding again

the ONLY thing I would change, and it's my ONLY regret - is that I wish I wasn't so worried about going into OT with the limos - and instead of rushing from the church to the reception, I would have wanted to take loads of pictures by the Church - Bklyn Promenade / Water Club / DUMBO.

The weather. It was a bit cold and dark. Never rained, but, the sun never came out either. We did get great pics though.

Also, I would have changed my videographer.

Everything else was perfect. I would not have changed a thing.

Re: if you could have a wedding again

I was pretty happy with every aspect of my wedding, but I wish my dress had fit better. One of my bridemaids was married the year before and I tried her gown on and it fit me like a glove it was perfect fit-wise, but I had my eye on a gown already and I wanted my own dress, so I went and got the one I loved. It was gorgeous but didn't have that fit that my maids gown did. So that always irked me.

DH and I both agree that we would've changed our photographer- they $ucked. We almost changed it 10 days before our wedding, and i really wish we had.

Re: if you could have a wedding again

Have a wedding again to me means a 2nd wedding Chat Icon

So I'd change almost everything since I already had pretty much my dream wedding the first time around. So for this fantasy 2nd wedding, I'd have a totally different, trendier gown, and I'd get married on the beach on a tropical island. Chat Icon

Re: if you could have a wedding again

I would definitely go with a different photographer/videographer
Not necessarily change the DJ but play a little different music
I would want to get ready in my house and not my moms and get some sleep the night before

Other than that, all was great!

Re: if you could have a wedding again

A small change in bridal party selection.

And a destination wedding or some small little intimate wedding on the beach.

Re: if you could have a wedding again

I plan to have a second wedding at some point.

there are a few things that happened around the time of my wedding that have forever marred it in my memory.

the day of was fabulous, and aside from hating my dress I wouldn't change a thing.

but one day I hope to have a wedding with only fond memories and good feelings attached to it.

for that blessed day, I will have a glam dress and it will be somewhere in Italy. Perhaps Lago di Como. Hopefully just me and my husband. I may not even tell anyone.Chat Icon
