Re: if you could have a wedding again
Loved our wedding...loved planning it and celebrating with everyone. Looking back, I would have insisted we take group shots at the church instead of back at the venue. The ceremony ran late (due to the wedding before ours) and by the time we got to the venue, it was dark. I don't love those shots...but all in all, everything was fantastic!

Re: if you could have a wedding again
Better photographer...I got married in 2001 and my pics are so outdated looking. People were just starting to do the cooler shots and I didn't really know too much about it. I wish I had some more journalistic shots or at least more creative and modern. Other than that, I was very happy with the day.

Different centerpeices.
I like what I had, but it was too much work putting them all together.
And I would have it not rain.

Yup, I would have stood up to my mom and MIL and just gotten married at city hall and taken our immediate families to a fantastic restaurant in the city.

Re: if you could have a wedding again
I don't know that I would have a big wedding again...There's a big part of me that wanted to get married on an island in the Carribean...But I spent too much time thinking about other people, and what they'd want, and not wanting to inconvenience them. I absolutely loved my wedding, but I spent a lot of time (as I tend to do in life) thinking about what would make other people happy, and would be easiest for everyone else.

Re: if you could have a wedding again
Probably not. We had a GREAT time at our wedding and years later people still told us how much fun we had. The planning with my mil-THAT I wouldn't do again!!

Re: if you could have a wedding again
There's only one thing I would change and it's so ridiculous: my champagne flutes.
I was given beautiful Waterford flutes from my job, but I didn't want to bring them to the reception place in case they got broken or lost. So, we used the ones that "came with" the Westbury Manor. When I look at the pictures of us toasting, I can't get over it...the flutes look so pitiful! I should have brought those damn Waterford flutes!

and get a trendier less classic dress
See, I'm surprised by this. I would think most people would feel the opposite...especially those brides from the 80s wearing the hats and giant puffy sleeves!

Re: if you could have a wedding again
I got married in early '03 and have no digital pics...that is the ONLY thing I would change...even with the stresses and BS and things that inevitably went differently than expected.
I LOVED my wedding and to this day all of our friends and family agree. All I could think about was the actual ceremony and then partying my butt off....and that's what I did....

Re: if you could have a wedding again
Change my actual wedding?
I wouldn't have had my hair curly & would have opted for a different photographer. I didn't love the venue either.
I loved my wedding, the day, the guests, everything, but if I were given a do over I would opt for a very scaled down, beachy kind of thing - same people minus one person.

Re: if you could have a wedding again
I would have had a different photographer, although I could not have foreseen what happened (my photographer had a family emergency so the studio sent someone else, who I was very unhappy with).
I would have had an outdoor ceremony with colored flowers on the Chuppah, instead of going with the all-white chuppah in the synagogue, which both mothers wanted.
Otherwise, I loved my day.

Re: if you could have a wedding again
i would also love to have digital pictures so I would change that.
I would also have worn my veil during the entire reception.
And this is out of my control but I would opt for a day where it wasn't raining like a monsoon.
No regrets though!

I wouldn't change a thing - unless I was really rich... then I would have it at my first choice venue Atlantica on the beach. But honestly i really enjoyed my wedding and can't really complain about anything
Me too. We had a casual outdoor wedding at the Snapper Inn Pavilion and it was awesome. People STILL talk to me about our wedding and we are coming up on our 3 year anniversary. One thing I would change was the DJ we chose. He sucked and was obnoxious. I wish I hadn't paid him before the party because I would have stiffed him. He made comments on the mic like, playing right from the list(even though we were very clear that we had a list of songs we wanted him to play and he said it was fine) come on guy-you're a DJ not Beethoven

Re: if you could have a wedding again
I loved my photographer - he had a great personality BUT even with an assistant and a list of MUST TAKE PICTURES there were still MANY Key pictures that were missed so I'd have to say I would change my photographer!
I'd also double check not only that every thing was set and the menu was right but that my cake was right. My cake looked BEAUTIFUL but it was supposed to be chocolate cake & it was yello cake. I specifically did not get my DH's grooms cake at our RD in chocolate the night before because our wedding cake was going to be chocolate.
I would have not invited one person.
I would have made sure I danced with my stepdad......I didn't & he as since passed away.
Truthfully I LOVED my wedding day!

Re: if you could have a wedding again
Definitely a different photographer.
I might have also changed the day of the wedding to a Saturday. We just felt a little rushed taking pictures. But overall, it was a great day!
