I need hugs
I left work early yesterday bc I felt sick
Runny nose, sore throat, cough and this really bad chest pain
I went to the doc bc I thought I had a cold, and the doctor told me I have a heart murmur!
He cannot do any testing right now bc of how sick I am so I have an appointment for a physical on the 24th
Im scared bc my brother has a heart condition that is hereditaty and it would require some surgeries and DH and I just started trying to have a baby
Everytime my chest hurt I get really scared

How scary! 
Heart murmurs are very common, and can arise when a person has a fever -- which you might, since you obviously have a cold -- and just go away on their own.

I had this too! They sent me for a huge scare. It wound up being Mono and nothing really wrong with my heart.
Especially if your chest hurts too, have you been tested for mono?

I have a heart murmur as well. They're not too big a deal, but when you have dental work you need to be on antibiotics.

I would ask about being tested for mono and not worry too much about the heart murmer right now. Heart murmers are very common -- and generally don't cause chest pain. I'm pretty sure your chest pain is probably due to some congestion (or even heart burn) from being sick.

I have a heart murmur and mitral valve prolapse. I also thought it was going to be a problem when I got pregnant with DS but it wasn't. Heart murmur's are extremely common and generally don't have any risk associated with them. But it can "act up" when you are sick. Feel better!

Both my sisters have heart murmurs and they are fine...it won't affect your ability to carry a child either.

I was told once I had a murmur too, when for tests, but they found nothing.

I also have a heart murmur, or at least I did when I was a kid. Sometimes they just go away on their own, it's not a big deal.
