Re: I need HOW many strollers?!
Posted by SweetCaroline
Sorry to bump an old thread - but after reading this I'm thoroughly confused. If I get a travel system, do I need a snap & go as well? Does each car seat model have it's own snap n go available for purchase? Are these dumb questions?
Plenty of people get a snap and go and a travel system. I have the Metrolite travel system and my car seat snaps in there and I never had a snap and go.
I think there is a graco snugrider and then a universal one, but don't just take my word for that, as I never had one.
I felt like we had everything we needed with the Metrolite stroller and car seat. In fact, we are still using the car seat snapped into the stroller and DS is almost 6 months old.

I thought I remembered it snapping in. I'll have to go to BRU and play tonight. I registered for the same, but also the Chicco carseat. I am getting the snap and go (it's off my registry... shhhh).
Ooh- let me know if it does, we couldn't figure it out- we may just be special like that. It definitely snapped into the car seta base, I think. But we couldn't figure out the car seat with the stroller or the snap and go.
My DH likes that stroller too. Don't feel bad, we are "special" and could not figure it out. In fact one time a customer help us with an item, and a store person help us with this stroller.

Re: I need HOW many strollers?!
I have one, a bumbleride, and that's all I need. Her carseat snaps into it. IF I were to travel on a plane while she's an infant I might get the snap n' go. I might get a lighter travel stroller when she's a toddler but that's a ways off.

Re: I need HOW many strollers?!
I got the Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe system, and have also registered for an umbrella stroller which reclines. I am hoping that those 2 are sufficient... I think that they will be to be honest with you.

you only need two. one umbrella stroller for quick in and out shopping or errands and one reliable one.

Re: I need HOW many strollers?!
Here's what we found. The Snap'n'go is great for the first few months -- being able to move sleeping baby from car to stroller without waking him is fabulous. But, the Snap'n'go does not maneuver very well, so once you start using a good stroller you may hate it. We got a Chicco C1 (it is very similar to the Peg P3), which is very comfortable, has great canopy coverage and a snack tray and it handles very nicely -- a great "all day" stoller -- but is kind of heavy and can't be broken down with one hand. We also picked up a Maclaren Quest for when I flew alone with DS -- it is fabulous -- truly one-handed fold (I can hold DS and break down and pick up the stoller), turns on a dime, is light-weight -- a great city or shopping stroller (no snack-tray, not as padded as the Chicco, so not as good an "all day" stroller).
There are lots of great strollers out there, but not one that truly does everything well. We found we needed at least 2 to fit our major needs. Depending on how particular you are, you might find one stroller that does everything "OK" or you might find that you need several strollers that really cater to however you are using them.
