I know this is blasphemy on this site...
BUT I have to say it...
WHAT is the BIG deal about Billy Joel? Why all these threads about Billy Joel?  I don't like his music AT ALL and I don't get all the hype.
I know I am alone in my distaste for all things Billy Joel...AND I grew up in L-Town. I should LOVE him, right? 
He is talented, just not my cup of tea.
OK, let me climb into my flame retardant suit...

Thanks, maybe I should start a "10 reasons why Billy Joel stinks thread", then you will understand. Now THAT should raise some eyebrows.

BIG surprise...I am not a fan of them either. The whole idea of a band the same age as my grandpa belting out hits from 50 years ago...

I don't hate him. I actually met him and he is a very nice guy. I only like a few of his songs...definitely not enough to go nuts getting tickets.
I do have performers that I'd do anything for good tickets...like when my sister and I drove to Philly to see Prince 10th row floor. I could not get good tix in NY or NJ, so we went to Philly, saw the concert, then drove back. It was so worth it to me!

My step-mother hates him, but that's because she grew up with him, and they were in the same music classes together. She didn't like him then. She ran into him years later at a restaurant while he was still married to Christie Brinkley. She said his personality hadn't changed a bit and he was more arrogant than she remembered.

Seriously, it was life altering. He was amazing and sings everything love - no lip synching. It was incredible.

I think it also has a lot to do with the way the show is being marketed. LAST PLAY AT SHEA. So fans are rushing to get seats.

thats what i was thinking. i mean i love billy joel too, but i've only been to 1 of his concerts and it was great and all. but i didnt wake up early and wait on line or anything for his shea concert. i dont think i love any performer that much to do that lol.
