We really liked maskers , but after the nightmare rides there and back we won't be going back anytime soon

I love Maskers, but it's a hike from here, and traffic can be a pain. Last year we went to Windy Acres.

We go to Maskers every year. We live off the Throgs Neck, so it's not so bad of a ride for us. We've been going up there since I was a kid and we've been to several places to go apple picking and Maskers is, by far, the best place.

We have been going to Maskers every single year for as long as I can remember. However, after the last two years - we will never go back again UNLESS we can take a day off and go during the week. This last year, was literally the worst day of my life so far. . . it took us six hours to get there.

WOW!! I will be going during the week so hopefully it won't be that bad. Not sure if I'll go there anyway, but thanks for the heads up.

I like the orchard right outside of Saratoga. It's in Schylerville (sp?). It's a hike but, you could make a weekend out of leaf watching and apple picking and all the other fun stuff to do up there! The Washingon County fair is in Sept. ( I think) and it really is an experience. We have a house in the area and I love it up there.

Pennings Orchard in Warwick. Great variety of apples, petting zoo, good food and a great experience overall.

Are any of these places on LI? I'm unsure based on the responses. It seems some may be upstate. I would love to find a good place to go in the fall as well.

Yes it is. Love that they have those drop off points so you don't have to lug all the heavy bags of apples with you the whole time.
