Do you think the 3rd weekend in Sept. is to early to go apple picking?
I know once we get into October their won't be much left so I was thinking middle of Sept. What do you think?

Last year we went on October 4th and there were only the crappy apples left. Some people found some nice green ones, but you really had to search for them. I'd say middle of September should be a good time to go.

Same thing happened to me 2 years ago.
This year we are going the last weekend of September.

It should be, but different types of apples are ready at different times in the fall. I remember we couldn't get certain kinds because we went early.

We went to Llairds in Colts Neck, NJ and I really liked it because it wasn't huge and they have pumpkin picking too.
My SIL's went to Maskers (the one Goldi posted) and I saw pictures and it looked really nice too.

Not at all. We always go that weekend 
We go to Wilkens Farm in Yorktown Heights.
