I have me a crafty sister
We ordered a boat load of extra fabric to make a bunch of stuff to match Ed-lie's bedding. Last night, she made this diaper stacker (pic is lousy):
This is the bedding it goes with:
She also finished making the valences but we arent putting those up yet til Ed-lie comes home. Right now she is making covers for two small pillows and the trim for the outside of the hampers.
Im pretty lucky and though I stand to inherit Mom's sewing machine myself, I dont know how to use it. Big shoes to fill.

wow! that came out beautiful!!! My MIL made all of DD's bedding stuff as well- i just stared at that stuff in amazement!! It is amazing what some women can do with a sewing machine...

I honestly didn't know that you can get more material which is something I learned today!

You can get ANYTHING for a price. We paid something like $36/yd for the fabric and a valence was over $80 (and we need TWO) with a lot LESS fabric to it, so we figured, why not just buy it and do it ourselves. My sister has a funcky sewing machine and can follow a pattern. We aren't over doing it with the accessories, just enough to highlight certain things and I didnt have a diaper stacker.

It is House (or Little House) cherry blossom. We ordered it from RosenberryRooms.com after having seen it at Bellini.

Makes total sense. We have my Eastern European grandmother that has her friends that literally snap their fingers like mary poppins and have a blanket knitted in half a second..I may ask her if any of them can sew, and buy extra material as well..bc I was definitely thinking of ordering valnces and the diaper stacker...

Oh my gosh, that is the bedding I have bookmarked for my dd's room once our house is built! I have been in love with it for EVER! I can't wait to see how you decorate your nursery with it! The diaper stacker is great. I was planning on ordering extra fabric too for my mom to get "creative" with!

I think there are other "baby items" in that pattern as well.
