Ha! I couldn't agree more, esp about the mommy finger, where are you and Johnny Johnny yes papa.
I think they're pretty harmless but some of them are SO weird and others are def creepy. Meanwhile, some of the people that do these videos make an obscene amount of $$. I read an article last year that some woman makes like $3/4 million doing YouTube videos of opening toys.

OMG my ds is obsessed with the finger families and johnny johnny also. My ds is under 2 and I told dh today that he said 4 words in a row...they were "how do you do". Dh said it doesn't count lol.

when my husband and i were in the cancun airport this summer we found kinder suprise eggs and bought them for the girls. I was so freaking proud of myself

There is such weird sh!t on YouTube. My son watches a video of peppa pig figurines going swimming. Why not just play with his own peppa pig figurines? And then he watches this creepy video of a baby doll in a bath filled with gum balls. It makes no sense!! And he likes the egg videos but gets bored quick and clicks off to a diff video
Omg as much as I love you tube kids and the distraction it provides a lot of those videos are weird!! And my dd is so entranced by them!!

I don't let AJ watch Youtube unless I'm showing her a video. She has only just learned how to look things up with search bars from school.
Total tech low key. I don't know why! 
She can navigate Netflix like a pro though. So she has her own account for kids setting there but youtube? nah too many ads.
But surprise eggs? Um, no idea what that is. Given the comments, not sure I want to even find out!

I hate surprise eggs!!
They're geniuses. They attach all of their un boxing nonsense to educational videos like Sesame Street or Baby Einstein. In the "suggestions" column on the right, they're all right there in bright vivid colors attracting our kids.
There's another annoying one I haaaate with a father and son and the dad is so overly enthusiastic, he sounds like a cokehead.
Now DDs are into these two girls who play with Annia and Elsia. Has anyone seen these? I've banned them, honestly. So stupid....

I'm going to start recording my kids opening gifts and playing with their toys...because apparently you can have your own youtube channel that way? And make money?

I didn't like dd on you tube but you tube for kids is much,better. Only ads we ran across are for children's shows.
