You can buy them in CT. I have family that lives there, and everyone goes to "Uncle Guido's Fantastic Fireworks".

I hate fireworks
I called the police earlier. I know they probably won't do anything but felt like I had to do something.

Are they not illegal in Nassau county? I ask because they're illegal in NYC and I remember people getting busted all the time in Queens. It seems to be a free for all around here.
They are illegal in NY. But its never enforced it seems.
Some types (the ground ones - the noisier ones) are legal in certain counties in NY now.
I like fireworks but, I like the nice sky shows - not the ones that keep my kids up all night.

I hate fireworks
I love fireworks when they are at an approved location (jones beach, disney world). I hate neighborhood fireworks. My lovely neighbor was blasting them for hours last night and of course all the paper and crap is all over my backyard and in my pool. Thanks so much! Not to mention my autistic daughter trembling with all the booming while she's trying to sleep. What makes it worse is that the neighbor is my daughters aide at school so she knows how much it upsets her.

This is just disgusting. I'm so sorry your daughter had to suffer  and what's even worse is this person knows your daughter and works with her. So inconsiderate. I can't even believe that. Hopefully she was able to get a good night sleep

I can't believe that so many people forgo their common sense when it comes to fireworks around this time of year...drinking and explosives are a horrible idea in my opinion, but it seems that many people think it is a great one...my friend's husband is in the ICU because he thought that setting off fireworks at a party was a smart choice (I can't say that he was drinking)...the firework didn't operate as one would expect and he is very badly hurt. I would much rather leave something that is mildly impressive to watch an amateur do to professionals who know how to put on a good show.

My a$$hole neighbor was shooting fireworks off under a bucket. The bucket would go flying high up and then come crashing down. He is so lucky it didn't anyone's cars.
F*cking morons. So glad it's over with (hopefully).
My poor dog was awful yesterday.

I hate fireworks
My neighbor who was shooting them off all night left all the casings out on the street! It's a mess. Even in the park! I stopped a police officer who was driving by my street and asked him why no one came last night after I called. He was nice about it and said I should have called twice. And that unfortunately there isn't much to do. I grew upstate and my family would do fireworks. Until one year someone got hurt. I just can't believer how people here (south shore- nassau) do them where the houses are so close together!!!
Ok sorry rant over. This really bothers me for some reason.

I'm sorry to everyone that had a bad night because of the asssholes. People are so inconsiderate. And then they leave all the garbage behind for their neighbors to clean up. To say nothing of how dangerous they can be. Those are some classy people right there.
What's the point of making fireworks illegal if it's not enforced?
