I hate fireworks!!!
At least the neighborhood ones . Anyone with me? My husband thinks I am insane and is making fun of me for it!
Eta: and it's not bc of the noise. I am afraid my house/car will go on fire. And they are dangerous!! My neighbor is an er nurse and at 10 this morning saw someone with his elbow blown off already!!

I hate fireworks!!!
I grew up in a state where fireworks were legal, so they don't really bother me. We had all of our limbs, and our homes/cars didn't catch on fire ever lol. It's annoying to hear boom boom boom all night when you are trying to sleep though!

I had just put my daughter to bed and was trying to get my son to sleep when BOOM! the next door neighbors started their own Macy's show next door.
I freakin hate it! If I wanted to hear or see fireworks, I wouldve gone to a location where they are supposed to have them!

I hate fireworks!!!
At first I'm like "oooh." Then I'm like "ehhh." Then I'm like "enough!"
We went to my IL's to watch b/c their neighbor does a show every year. We got there around 9:30, after they started. Left around 10:30 and they weren't even close to done. I went inside the house at about 10 b/c I couldn't take it anymore. Inside the house it sounded like we were in a war zone.

I was just happy that DS was so worn out from the day and fell asleep on the way home.
The people who were setting them off on the 3rd were driving me nuts. DS would not go to bed and ended up sleeping with me all night.
I suck them up for the 4th, but personally, they are not worth the risk to me either.
I don't understand the point of the really loud ones that don't even light up. Except to make some guy with a small penis feel large for the moment.
A couple people in my IL's neighborhood did this yesterday in the late afternoon before it even got dark and scared the crap out of everyone.

I hate fireworks!!!
They've been doing them in my neighborhod for 2 weeks. Did not stop til about 1am last night. Have a funny feeling it will continue at least through the weekend.

My son loved it and that's why I suck it up... Until the firework that the teenage boy set off on my block went directly under my neighbors car and looked like it was going to blow up. My son got so scared and slept in our bed because he thought our house was going to blow up. He said he never wants to see fireworks again. And he isn't normally afraid of a lot. He sounds like he really enjoyed it. 
An as an aside I don't mind going to see fireworks that are set off in a big field/stadium etc. and normally go see them every year!

I hate fireworks!!!
I don't mind them...but they scare me. I'm always worried about kids getting in the way of them and getting hurt. Or even grown adults that don't know what they're doing. As pretty as they are- they are so dangerous! That's my only gripe with them.

When I was a kid, I stayed inside crying because of the noise and b/c I was afraid of fire! 
Now, the noise still makes me jump, and I won't go anywhere near them. I watched from outside my house for a few minutes last night, but that's it. I really only like professional fireworks displays.

I hate fireworks!!!
I love fireworks. Always have but it needs to be done right. I was watching a display in my neighborhood last night that was never ending. I waited around for the grand finale after like an hour of the same fireworks and had to leave bc I couldn't take it anymore. A half hour or less is sufficient lol

As a kid I hated them because I felt like they were going to fall from the sky and set me on fire.
As an adult I grew to hate them after working in an ER while in grad school.
Things like this scare the CR@P out of me... & this was a "professional display".

This! Last year we were outside watching my neighbors launch fireworks and they shot one right at us by accident. We are soooooo lucky no one got hurt. It shot and exploded right on our front stoop. They came over, checked on us, and kept right on going!

I am guessing the cops are super busy on July 4th but I always wondered why it wasn't cracked down on more.
They are illlegal in NY right? But nobody stops anyone from shooting them off.
So it's like they are legal pretty much.

I enjoyed it when I was kid, until I learned just how dangerous they are! Sorry, but I am not going to enjoy listening to idiots trying to burn themselves or the people watching them. I hate how the cops don't care either. Thankfully this year was better than the last, and they didn't even wake my kid up like they did last year.
Bring on the professional fireworks!!

Well, 1st in my neighborhood it is far longer than one day.
2nd, I have to deal with a husband who has PTSD from being overseas during the war. and a puppy that shakes uncontrollably and gets physically ill.
Geez, why would anybody dislike that

seriously folks.
its my fathers fav holiday. loves fireworks.
when people get injured, its most likely b/c they are not using them safely.
like my brother who lites them then throws them and burnt 3 of his fingers. thats not smart.
what I dont like is people shooting off random stuff like 3 weeks from now...lol

they r loud but to see the kids smile when the sky lights up is a good enough reason for me
yes there are idiot who get hurt,yes some people have adverse reactions but overall if it just the sound that makes u nuts,it is just one night
