Did your doctor say if he was running tests? Honestly, I didn't get 100% closure until the tests came back and showed that the baby never would have survived given the developmental issues (in my case, an extra chronosome 16).

No, I actually decided not to test. Right now I'm so drained that I'm not sure if it would help me - I know that sounds crazy. Thanks for your reply. How long before you got pg afterwards?

waited the 2 months (it did take a while for AF to show if I remember correctly), and got pregnant right away again!!

I went through the same thing. My SIL announced she was pregnant the day after my doc didn't find the heartbeat. She wasn't trying either. It was so hard emotionally- especially since she had a difficult pregnacy and I was the only person who knew for 3 months that she was pregnant. It was such a roller coaster. I was so angry and upset and my DH really didn't understand how her pregnancy complicated my already upset feelings.
I just wanted you to know you are not alone. On a positive note, I got pregnant two cycles after my MC and now have a healthy daughter two months younger than my niece. I know it will work out for you in the end too.
ETA: Please FM if you need to- I had some really difficult thoughts surrounding SIL pregnancy that no one really understood so I will listen if you need.
