I got my Prius!!!!
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Its so freaking cool!!! We drove it 140 miles so far & averaged 62.5 miles to the gallon!!!
its a great car & i loved the dealer I bought from, I got it for less than MSRP which two other toyota dealers told me was impossible!
If anyone is considering a fuel efficient car, you've got to test drive the prius!!!
HOV lane by myself here I come!!!

WOW. I'm so glad you like it! How is the power, getting on the highway, passing and such? We have a 4cyl now but it's a turbo (I know I know  ) and my husband learned how to drive in it. It's all he knows and he's worried about those situations. I'm not - I've driven piss-poor 4cyl cars that would noticeably decline in power when the AC was on. 
I wish you could take cars on the highway during a test drive. You're the next best thing.
Did you get your Clean Pass sticker yet?

I haven't been on the expressway yet but I went into Riverhead & was doing 55, its not sluggish to me but my last car was a four cyl. My clean pass will be here with my real registration any day now. I also set the cruise control going 54 & I was getting 69MPG

That is AWESOME!!!!! I thought you guys were big SUV & Truck owners/lovers! What color did you get?
I've been riding in HOV lane by myself in the morning, its cutting a good 10-15 minutes off my commute!
You've got to admit, the Prius is COOL & fun to drive!

We love our Excursion and not about to give it up, but it's my primary vehicle and I don't put many miles on it these days. A hybrid is something we've been tossing around for at least 1/2 a year. DH's Jeep has been killing him gas wise (he commutes to Jersey). The numbers on the Prius (cost and mpgs) were just too good to pass up!
We wanted black, but they sold the last two on the lot as he was standing there, so he went with red. I haven't been in one yet, but DH says they're pretty cool (we're picking it up after dinner tonight.)
Monday we'll be calling the DMV so we can get our HOV stickers.
DH is laughing at the irony that we own the worst and best fuel economy vehicles. He wants to get a bumper sticker for the Excursion that reads "My Other Vehicle is a Prius".

I have the red too, I love it. You have to call the DMV AFTER you get your real reg in the mail. My DH made fun of me because I wouldn't go in the HOV till I had the stickers even though the cops know the Prius & civic hybrid are the only cars that can. I'm averaging 46-50 MPG, my old car got 33MPG but I'm still LOVING the prius. Stinks we missed the tax rebate, but whatever its still SUCH a smart car.
DH works in the Hamptons & they are everywhere out there, its like the new "it" car in Water Mill and Bridgehampton
They do make funny bumper stickers like that for your truck!
