I do the same thing! I'm sure some people are totally put off by it.. but I have made a few friends and acquaintances by just saying 'hi'! and starting a little conversation with fellow moms!
I do the same thing! If I'm in the mood, I'll talk to anyone about anything at any time.

I walk around my neighborhood and I'm bored out of my mind bc I have no one, meanwhile I see other moms wakling with their kids..I know moms but they have much much older kids..for some reason I'm the 30 year old that is friends with the grandmas
That was me on last year. I would chat with the grandmas on my block.

OMG, I feel the same way.
I stalk other parents and hope my kid goes up to their kid and tries to play with them so I can start a conversation!

I know what you mean. None of my friends have children. I am a younger mother so it's really unusual for other mothers to want to strike up a convo with me. I'm always the lonely mom on the playground or at any even for the kids.
