I Failed (small update, bottom of page 2)
even though in my gut and heart - i knew it was coming.....i'm sobbing at my desk....
i failed the 3 hour - my sugar is high...in the low 200's.
i know it's managable and stuff - but i'm still upset - i haven't called dave yet...

aww, that really stinks Jess. Like you said though, it is manageable and you can def. do it, but I'm sorry you have to deal with it.

Jess here are some ... I have been through this so if you need any help manageing a diet let me know... They may put you on insulin at night called NPH very easy to give yourself and with a good diet it will be controlled....
I go for my 3 hour next wed.. and I know I am failing even though I have put myself on a diet...
Just watch the carb intake... keep lunch and dinner under 45 carbs and breakfast under 25 and snacks around 15 and things will look up... yes it will be hard at first but trust me it becomes natural after a while

Oh Jess I'm so sorry. I have several friends who had GD and they said that the diet really wasn't bad (in fact some lost weight) once they got used to it. There are plenty of women on here with GD who I'm sure will be a big support if you have questions or need an ear.

i'm still crying - i just can't stop. i have no idea why...
i called the hospital - but the Diabetic office was closed. i can expect a call back tomorrow, as i left a message.

Jess, I am so sorry you failed,, But thank God its managable... No insulin... My sis ter had to be put on the GD diet during her pregnancy and once she did she felt soo good the rest of her pregnancy... I have a feeling this is going to be me in a few weeks too... We can go get salads together... Which I crave anyway because I am so thirsty .. Which is a sign also... Please dont be upset.. Your little bambino is not in any danger.. I am so here for you if you need me..
