I cant take it anymore......
My DH's SNORING!!!!!!
I cant sleep anymore because he snores so loud and he keeps me up all night, and I wind up on the couch downstairs
Someone at work recommended a Dr., but he will NOT go.
Anyone in the same boat??

I have tried that, he just rolls over and starts snoring again
does he ever sleep on his stomach?
that's what does the trick for my dh
if he's on his back or side, snore city
but once he turns onto his stomach - silence

he doesnt snore as much when he is on his stomach, but tonight he was on it and really LOUD!!!!!!
I can hear him from downstairs on the couch

I sleep with ear plugs, but it's tougher because you have a little one you need to hear......hmm

there are appliances that dentists make to stop snoring. sometimes really bad snoring is associated w/sleep apnea which can be dangerous. he needs to go to a doctor.

I sleep in the bedroom downstairs sometimes ...or I keep pushing my husband until he rolls over..but that does not work he still snores

He told to just tap him on the shoulder. So once, I went to swing my arm over to tap his shoulder and he had shifted down on the pillow..so I hit him right in the face! He woke up with a black eye the next morning!

FH uses breathe right strips, it helps a little but not a lot. When he snores like a goose, it gets into my dreams like someone is talking like charlie brown's teacher, over and over again. FH is overweight which does not help. He has sleep apnia and trying to get him to go to the Dr. is like puliing teeth! I on the other hand can sleep thru anything but my DD. Try scaring him by telling him he stops breathing and u think he has sleep apnia, maybe then he'll go to the Dr. They might prescribe a mask (which is why FH doesn't want to go) but they will breathe easier and have the best sleep of their lives!

I usually kick and push him til he stops, but that only gives me a couple of seconds.

Exactly! Why won't he go?
My DH went & they found he had Severe Sleep Apnea. He now has a CPAP machine to sleep with which eliminates the snoring almost 100% and he sleeps much better. He wakes the next morning feeling much more rested.

yep...DH snores like crazy. I use cotton balls in my ears...it muffles it a little bit. I usually hit DH and a few times I made him sleep in the other room

I usually tap him and tell him to please stop. He will over and will stop...sometimes.
Knock on wood it has not been bad.
I usually try to go to bed before him, but, that's once in a blue moon.
He really should see a DR.

Yes there are nights where I have to sleep in another room. I know what you are going thru! Have you tried those breathe right strips? Those actually do work when DH puts them on.

Mine snores too, when he wears the nose strips it is much less, much quieter.
I also wear ear plugs to drown him out.

A friend of mine just went for surgery for snoring after being diagnosed with sleep apnea. He says its the best thing he ever did, now he sleeps through the night and feels well rested when he gets up.

LOL - same here! Last night I think I beat the crap out of him, just to get him to turn over! My husband sleeps like a ROCK, there is NO waking him up so when he snores I have to really fight with him to push him over! Fun
