Yes, I was surprised too. I guess she wants to see what my numbers are first before going further...I dont know..

I don't understand why they couldn't have done an ultrasound for you to ease your mind or at least get an answer one way or another. You are far enough along to be able to see a heartbeat.
I would be so upset that they are making me wait for freakin bloodwork when you are almost 8 weeks along. I'm sorry you are still in limbo.
Your cervix is closed so that is a very good thing.

So I think I might be having a miscarriage. My bleeding has gotten a lot heavier since yesterday and now there are clots in it. I do have some cramping like my period is coming. Im so depressed right now. I called the nurse and she said it could go either way so I will be seeing my Dr. today. Has this happened to anyone? Please send prayers.
ETA:I just wanted to say I LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!!!! I dont know what I would do without you guys! I will keep you all posted...
ETAA: Appt is at 1:45PM. This day is going to take foooorrreeevvveeerrrr!
**UPDATE** Just got back from the Dr. Did not get bad news nor good news. Dr did an internal exam and said my cervix was closed, so that was good. She sent me to do blood work and said results should be in by tomorrow. Said my numbers should be above 2500. If they are she will order an ultrasound. If not, she will have me come in every couple of days to have blood work done to make sure my numbers drop back down to 0. She told me not to be hopeful since I did have quite a lot of bleeding but she said shes also seen cases like this where the woman continues on to have a normal pregnancy. I am not keeping my hopes up....I just have a feeling things arent going to be good. I'll keep you ladies posted and thanks for all the prayers!

Honestly they should have given you a sono. You are far enough in your preg to detect a heartbeat. I am going to continue to pray and think good thoughts for you

Dr. said it was too early to do an U/S but depending on the blood work, if its good she'll order a vaginally ultrasound (I think thats what she said, everything is a blurr right now)

Yeah Im a it surprised too. I saw a baby and heartbeat at 6 weeks.
I hope you hear good news tomorrow!

The fact that ur cervix is closed is a very
good thing when I miscarried my cervix was open and that was a tell tale sign!

Yea, I dont really know. I guess I'll just have to wait until tomorrow to get my results and go from there.
