Unless you still had trigger in your system then you WERE pregnant and it needs to be looked at by the RE. Do you need progesterone support? Is there an immune issue? I would request a consult, put your expectations out there and see if they can meet them or not. If they can't, I would move on.

and i have def dealt with some people who brush off chemicals and it makes me livid
i am so sorry you are going through this

Re: How would you feel about this????????
Have you heard of Dr. Palter at Gold Coast IVF? My hubby and I met with him last month after I researched new RE's. I've been going to RSNY Stony Brook for over a year. Anyway, Dr. P. is in Syosset and I felt that he had a lot of experience regarding ENDO. If I lived closer I would be making my CD3 appt. with them. Their office is small, everyone was super nice and the follow-up process prior to and immediately after the consult was what I feel we fertility challenged ladies need. Also, Dr. P. seemed intent on figuring out what is causing my infertility exactly, not just initiating typical protocols that larger practices like RS use for the masses. Prior to naturally conceiving my soon-to-be 6 year old son in 2006, I saw Dr. San Roman out at Mineola. That's how I ended up coming to Stony Brook. He left the practice and is out on his own. I did consult with him as well last month and now I will be going there on CD 3. I'll keep the forum updated on how the new office is. In the meantime, research Palter and see what you think. I wish you peace and success. Hang in there

Re: How would you feel about this????????
I specifically don't go to her for that reason. I only go to Trivax in that office. I had an issue with her from the beginning. She's smart but come on!! A little empathy. She did my retrieval which was fine but the process of getting there was annoying. She was stern with me when she said it was time to take my ganirelex shot but I didn't have it on me. She's like um you need to take it now. I said I had to go to work - I'm a teacher- and she said well this is priority you need to go home and do it now. How was I supposed to know I was supposed to bring it with me?
Sorry for vent but I would've left office if it wasn't for Trivax...

How would you feel about this????????
I am a patient there too and will only see Trivax. By default I had to see Saketos and I felt she was speaking in such technical jargon that was over my head. I am a fairly educated person and had no idea what the hell she was talking about! I am giving myself one more cycle and then I'm leaving the practice.

If I were you, I would try going to another office and see another Dr within the practice.
I NEVER get that kind of treatment at the W. Islip office. The Nurse is the sweetest thing. When she used to call me with my negative beta, she would be all apologetic and try to lift my spirits.
When I had my Ectopic, with every Blood Work call, she was very sweet and sympathetic.
If you are looking to go somewhere else, even to Manhattan like I think you wrote... It may be beneficial to just go to another location. Like the W. Islip or Stonybrook. I know it isn't "Convenient" but It may be worth a shot seeing another Dr. and dealing with a smaller office & staff.
I'm so sorry you are dealing with all of this.
ITA with this - The staff at the West Islip office, nurses, doctors, reception, are all excellent.
I second this. I am having a really terrific experience at West Islip, from the sono tech to the nurse to Stelling and Halfen.

I updated on another post but they did in fact run that beta and my RE was surprised that the nurse told me that. They actually have no idea why she said that and showed me the proof on my chart- it was a positive at that point. :)

Re: How would you feel about this????????
I can't believe she was that insensitive about it. You know that I go to the same practice but I've NEVER had a problem with the staff like that. Honestly, go get a second opinion. The stress alone of dealing with this practice isn't worth it!!
FWIW- I really do like Dr. Saketos. I feel like she listens to me and is on board with whatever I want to do and isn't pushing me into taking anything specific or doing any procedures. That being said, I'm having surgery with Trivax so we'll see. Maybe ask to see a different Dr. this cycle if you stick with them.
Again, I'm so sorry about this. I was really hoping this was it for you.

I am sorry for your loss.
With two chemicals, I would seek additional testing, likely with a new RE. JMO

Re: How would you feel about this????????
So sorry this happened to you. I would def make a consult with a new RE. I know when I am ready for#2, I will probably be looking at Zapantis and Palter since I have heard they have smaller practices, with more individualized attention. I was in the same practice you are in now, I hated that it was so baby factory and I had to advocate for myself. In fact I think the only reason I got/stayed pregnant is because I spoke up and pushed to be put on progesterone supplements even though they told me it wasn't an issue. Good luck!!
