You wouldn't think someone would say this but, she did. She is a real B$#&*! Not many teachers like her.

I'd probaboy tell them, "well, I do have a brain, and (whatever the children related issue is) is not rocket science."

I had been thinking about this comment and it blows me away considering that teaching had been one of the only professions that was acceptable for a woman to have (other than nursing) if she was to work at all dating back many years.
Many (if not most) women are rather young and single WITHOUT CHILDREN when they start to teach. I dont know any female teachers in my building who had kids before they started teaching. Sure today it happens because people go back to school and change careers.
Perhaps you should tell this person that all of the single teachers and teachers without children will now quit, and see what happens.
(Sorry for the digression/hijack - I got a lil carried away!)

Yeah, so she was pretty much saying that my DH is a bad teacher to his face, since we have no kids. My DH favorite HS teacher growing up, had no kids. So that theory goes out the window. She was a SAHM that went back to work after raising her kids. So in her mind, this made her a better teacher then others. She Stinks!!!
