Re: how soon did u register?

I am pregnant with my first. Once I hit the 13 week mark I started registering for the big ticket items since I didn't want them gender specific anyway.

Then, after my 20 week sono when I found out we were having a Chat Icon I finished up my registry.

Re: how soon did u register?

I procrastinated. I was so overwhelmed by the registering process!!! I was almost 28 weeks when I finally got around to it.

If you go to the Babies R Us registry site online, they have great check lists that make registering easy. It's easy to start online with the big, basic items that you need - and then you can go to the store for the other stuff - blankets, sheets, layettes, etc. HAPPY REGISTERING!!! Oh, and you may wnat to get the "Baby Bargains" book - it grades EVERYTHING baby related - from cribs, to car seats, even bedding and diaper pails!

Im 13 wks tomorrow and I was thinking to start now for the bigger items. Once we find out at 20 wks what it is we can finish it.

Re: how soon did u register?

We waited until 23 weeks, although I started researching and creating a wishlist on babiesrus.com after the ultrascreen.

It can be really overwhelming so take as much time as you need and have fun!

Re: how soon did u register?

it's funny you started this thread today....

I'm going to be 11 weeks tomorrow, and just spent this morning starting my first 'rough draft' registry on amazon. It usually takes me weeks to polish a registry up, so I keep it as a work in progress, and tell no one where I registered.....

I'm also going to register at BRU for those little thingies only they seem to keep in stock, and target for the linens.

same here (i started registering at about 11, 12 weeks) b/c we want all gender neutral stuff, and i will do more when we find out what the baby is next month.

Re: how soon did u register?

I waited until my Level II (20 wks) to determine what the sex was. once I found out we were having a Chat Icon , I started the registry at BRU.

Re: how soon did u register?

I'm 11wks and I've begun to research some of the big items and started my rough draft of a registry.
I think at 20wks after we find out the sex we will go to BRU and register.
