How rude is this?!?!?!?
So, I'm excited today at work and I'm telling people....I'm having a boy!!
So, this lady comes up to me and says:
Sons are Sons, until they find a wife.
Daughters are Daughters for life.
So, after saying her little peom. She says, I hope you try again for a girl.
So, she already has my child leaving me and married. He is not even born yet.
and what happens if I try again and get another boy.
Is this what you say to a first time mom?
or maybe I am just being sensitive?

What a loser! I don't believe that at all. My cousin has 4 grown boys and if they were any more attached to her, they would need to be surgically removed.
Boys are wonderful and when your son becomes the starting pitcher for the NY Yankees you will remember this moment and laugh as you are lounging on your yacht in the Mediterranean :)

So rude...and so not true. My dad was the only son and had 2 sisters. When his father passed away, he's the one who moved his mom in with us (he had a wife and a daughter) and took care of her until she passed nearly 30 years later. This woman obviously just has issues of her own. Congrats on your son!!!!

Very rude. Just so you know my DS is only 8.5 months and he is a total mommys boy. I wouldnt change a thing. I am having a girl this time around and I am sure I will have a completly different type of bond with her. Your children will learn the closeness/bond thru what you teach them.
Maybe she has a son and was a witch of a mom and he couldnt wait to find a lady figure in his life.
